Pick Up Regulations
For storage give adequate notice for scheduling pick up time.
- Use only records center boxes.
- Ensure that the box(es):
- a. is properly assembled.
- b. is properly packed, i.e., not too tight, not too heavy, or underpacked.
- c. is in good condition, not ripped, damp, or mildewed.
- d. write temporary box number only on the front in lower right corner (do not write any other information on boxes for security reasons).
- e. each new accession should begin with temporary box #1.
- Store loose papers in folders.
- Do not store books, journals, or other personel or professional items.
- Do not pack hanging file folders. Remove records from hanging file folders and place in standard file folders.
- Remove all metal clips.
- Ensure that the box(es):
- Complete a box submission form.
